Danielle Lloyd- My Story

Danielle Lloyd, star of celebrity Big Brother has undergone a transformation. Over the past year, Danielle's hectic lifestyle and celebrity status meant that good nutrition and exercise had taken a back seat. She was recently shocked into action when she saw pictures of herself in a magazine; 'I can't believe how big I was- I almost cried when I saw the pictures. My friends didn't think it was me'. 
A diet of crisps, sweets, McDonalds and beer as well as lack of exercise had led to Danielle  becoming her heaviest ever, and suffering from health problems such as poor digestion, lack of energy and severe premenstrual syndrome. 
 
With the help of my low GL diet and a dedicated exercise regime, Danielle was soon back on the road to health, energy and confidence.

When Danielle first came to see me, she complained that she often felt tired and moody, and suffered from digestive aches and pains. In addition to this, she had put on weight and at 9 1/2 stone was at her heaviest ever.

Her score on the 100% Health Online Programme was a poor 37%, and she scored level Ds for immunity, female hormones and food sensitivity.

She has managed to completely turn this around by following my low GL food plan for just 6 weeks. The Holford Low GL diet focuses on  eating foods which moderate blood sugar levels and increase energy. Unlike extreme Atkins' style diets, the low GL diet does not cut out any major food groups, is beneficial for overall health and will not leave you hungry.

Danielle's typical diet plan:

Breakfast A bowl of porridge (30g) or scrambled egg on wholemeal toast

Morning snack A punnet of strawberries

Lunch Tuna salad and three oatcakes

Afternoon snack Handful of unsalted peanuts and a pear

Dinner: Tomato soup, followed by salmon, sweetcorn and green beans or grilled chicken with vegetables.

I suspected that Danielle had a food intolerance and recommended that she take a York Food Intolerance Test. The results showed that she had an intolerance to milk and she has since been avoiding all dairy products. In addition she supplemented with digestive enzymes, probiotics and a teaspoon of glutamine powder- which is like an MOT for your insides. Having followed this simple programme for 6 weeks, Danielle's Health Score has rocketed from 37% to 76%.

She has lost 10lbs and no longer suffers from digestive aches and pains. Her energy levels have also hit the roof, her periods are regular and she's less moody.
